hotpoint dishwasher. DWF40P 23700971

hi, went to this today tripping out electrics in house.
microswitch in door was damp, dried out and replaced microswitch,
machine now working okay. door gasket looked okay, door closed, top spray arm seemed very loose but nothing broken or blocked.
has anyone else had this ? how is water getting into the top of the door?
any advice appreciated pete…

shes wiping it down wiyh a very wet cloth or dippin it in the sink and givin it a scrub (hehe)

well if its not a common thing it could be a wet cloth/water
spilt on worktop.
as its working okay at the moment will leave well alone..

I would double check the door seal, wipe the door and seal dry, and run the machine.Then switch off and open the door carefully a look for water around the door. Usually if water is getting past the seal there should be an increase of noise from the water in the tub, push the door and listen when it is washing for a change of sound. 😉

Hi guys, i had this on a Indesit[ 😈 ] version of this m/c, ‘cept the door switch had burn’t out . Fitted new s/w then adjusted door latch as you could hear the water splashing in the m/c. Don’t make the adjustment too tight otherwise door could pop open mid-cycle 😡 .

hi, micro switch was burnt out on this one too, sorry didnt say that.
the door is shut as far as it can but will order new gasket maybe its
a bit soft..
