anyone have any experience with late hotpoint door boot

    model BWM129

boot is held on with a wire that looks to me you would need a special tool to refit. there are 2 loops in the wire to push ends together that then hook to each other
can get it off easy enough but do not want to leave the customer with no machine if i cant get it back

Hi, The “Have a read of this” link is dead, anyone point me to the correct page.
I have an Integrated Hotpoint BIW105w that needs the boot changing and it would be handy to see how this clip is fitted.
    Cheers

to put it in a nutshell you need a pair of lonnose pliers with an angled end
the clip had a wire with 2 loops near the end and at the end hooks. you squeeze the loops till the hooks latch but you can only do it through the door as the front does not come off

    try http://www.amazon.co.uk/HYPER-CLAW-UK-2 … 37&sr=1-19

    hope it helps

Cable tie the two hoops first because there a swine to fit. It will take a few goes to get it to lock together but the cable ties hold it in place while you have a play at fitting it. Tilt it back 45deg to give yourself more room.

I can’t really tell you how much it really made a huge difference by taking the advice on using cable ties! It took literally a minute to clamp it with the aid of cable tie after an hour trying various ways of fitting the clamp on. It was a real bugger to fit then a lifeline of cable tie made things sweeter! I was laughing with happiness when it worked.
