Hotpoint Dryer CTD00 not heating

I have a Hotpoint CTD00 dryer that is not heating. The dryer is about 14 months old and not used heavily. The filters are cleaned regularly and the water container is empty.

Any thoughts on what the problem could be?

The thermostats are the most common cause of failure, if you have kept all the filters and the condensor clean then another possible cause is stopping the dryer in mid cycle to check on the clothes. you should always allow the machine to complete the 10 minute cool tumble at the end of the cycle.

To confirm this diagnosis you do need the correct electrical test equipment.
