Hotpoint dryer – FETV60 stopping

It might work for a few minutes then just stop, press start and nothing happens. Turn it off for a few minutes then if goes again but only does the same next time…… tried start switch but no difference…. fitted lock and worked for 20mins.

Now cx says its done it again but now it’s gone off completely!!
Its only a basic dryer so really it only leaves the timer that might be playing up….. but any other ideas welcome please?

Have you checked that there is still power going to it when it fails? I would suggest trying another socket or connect it to a suitable extension lead with a table lamp and see if the lamp goes out at the same time.
