My Hotpoint condenser dryer (model CTD80P) starts to turn normally for a couple of minutes then displays Fault code F11. It continues to turn but does not heat up.What does F11 mean ?

I would be grateful for any advice and information as to what component needs replacing and what is the best way to get to that component (ie from the top or the back of the dryer).

Please help get her indoors of my back!

These codes are a best a pointer to the possible cause.
F11 points to a pump fault, either broken wiring, faulty pump or even control module.

first two need a test meter and visual examination, the last one would be best left to the Indesit Company engineers, expensive part which will be covered by your five year parts guarantee.

Plug out at all times and watch the metal edges of the side panels, very sharp.

If you don’t have access to test equipment, try the link below to see if we have someone who can help.

    Jim, thanks for your reply.
Our old Hotpoint washing machine was easy to get into from the top or the back, but this dryer seems more difficult. Whats the best way to get to the pump ? Any advice would be much appreciated.

Bottom right, at the back, prise off grey plastic cover. you should be able to hear the small pump running if it is OK.
