    Hi
My tumble drier is about 14 years old, and has just started making a very bad noise when operating, it sounds like a cement mixer, a sort of deep groaning and grating noise.
Is it worth fixing or should I be looking at a replacement, if so have you any recommendations, its vented so would like to keep with that type.
    Thanks

Probably well worth a bit of a overhaul I reckon

It most likely has got worn front drum bearers (probably worn away just behind the grey door seal and rubbing metal on metal?).

Get a local independent in to fix it (don’t use it any more meanwhile – you’re doing damage all the while).

Try Repairs@ for a local engineer to take a look for you 🙂

The Belt has gone, same thing happeed to my 9315 a few days ago. I have just repaired it, easy peasy. The belt costs £17 from hotpoint-spares. Some websites sell for £4-8, but i needed the next day delivery.

Send me a message if you need any help/advice fixing it and buying the part, the part is 9315A>Belt on hoptin spares website.

    Hi

Sherman2011 look at the date of this thread , it is from September 2005. So you are abit late with your reply.
