Hotpoint dryer SUTCD97B6GM

Hello. Just been to a Hotpoint dryer SUTCD97B6GM. There is a small pipe that runs from down below to around the top control panel but doesn’t appear to be connected to it. Does anyone know what its for because I cant think for the life of me what its doing. Many thanks.

if that is for condensation around an electronic panel, that’s mad they are even expecting it

I think that’s got to be it, states hose LCD screen. So would I be right in thinking it’s to blow air across the screen to stop condensation building up.
