Very likely to be the dryness module faulty, sounds like the heater relay on the module has stuck. Easy way to check is to replace the stats then check to see if the ‘drying’ light comes on as soon as you select a programme, or if it stays on during short reverse tumble. Not a cheap module and EMW & QER do not repair these. 😥
Part number if required is 1702136, list price over £70 + vat. 😯
Not sure if anyone has successfully replaced a heater relay on this type of board yet.Jim.
PS. I assume you checked the condensor was clean. 😉

Module is top right, at the front, looking from the front. If you run the tests I suggested, you could even bypass the ‘one shot’ for a few minutes and if the drying light is on as soon as you select a programme and before you press start, or when it reverse tumbles then I would stake your life on it being the module.

I take it that you meggared the machine. A DTE element can cause this fault.

That better, Bob? 😀
I have yet to fit a module on one of these – Tykes tend to go “HOW MUCH?” and rush off to Comet……… 🙁
