Hotpoint dryer water light Never comes on

Hi guys bit of a strange one, new hotpoint dryer the water light never comes On, bottle overflows, have checked float switch even with it pressed up by hand the light never comes on, have traced wires back to board continuity all the way, tried a new board but no Joy????

Model is a tcl780g serial is 00607

Hi A1.

on that model when the float switch is operated it will tumble with heat for 1 min then turn off the heaters after a further 10min of cool down period the appliance will pause and flash the empty light.

Hi bob, thanks even after 10 min the light isn’t on, cust states it’s never been on, whilst I was there I used a wire to link switch wires had it on test for 20 min full heat it never cut off , pump ran and pumped water to bottle.

The light does come on when u switch on appliance as does all the others
