Having a few problems nailing this one down. Been out to it today. Comlaint is not washing very well or drying very well at all. History, has new heater fitted by hotpoint Eng 3 months ago.

Tried to run test but would not work at first (I know these can be a bit tricky) – checked all connections on PCB – all ok. Eventually got it to run self test – runs about 2 mins then – it faults and shows fault (LEDs 4 + 6 flashing) this equates to heating circuit. Checked heater, heater definately heating up (physically hot) and customers says he has opened door and it has been full of steam (definately not the heater then )
Connections to heater all ok, connections at PCB all seem ok. This pcb has a permanently attached thermister that is stuck behind the door near the dispenser. Ran test 2 more times – same fault (4 + 6).

Is there any way to check this thermister or is it a complete new board??

Also customer say he has seen LEDs 3 + 5 fault show (filter and pressure sensor) although I never saw this myself.. fills empties and circulates ok.

Help – any ideas or suggestions other than the re-cycle centre (appliance is aobut 14 months old – typical !!!) 😕 😕

    RM 8)

PS Just ran into the Lady of the house who says that the DW actually stops about 3/4 the way through the cycle (different to what husband said)

customer uses 4 in 1 tablets 😈 but they have tried using seperates over the few months (Hotpoint Eng said they were “studip” to use 4 in 1. Customer not happy – no offence to Hotpoint Eng)
