Hotpoint DW61

Our dishwasher decided to give up half way through the program.. the timer just stayed on 19 minutes and no noise.. No water seemed to be in the dishwasher. The system reset tried with no change. When water is manually poured in and the machine turned on the machine drains it then nothing..

any ideas?

The model number you quote can’t be correct I don’t think 😕 But even so it is likely the fault is difficult to diagnose at this stage?

If you set the machine on any programme, will it fill with water (after the initial 1 minute pump out that is)???

If yes to the first question and you stop the machine and reset it, will it drain out and stop?

It’s a Hotpoint DWF 61

When turned on it now says 26 minutes. It does not seem to fill with water but you can hear water circulating on the left hand side of the machine.

It’s now working..!! I read another post about a diferent dishwasher and followed the advice for that. Disconnecting the water and tipping it back 5o degrees.. Turned back on and all is working..
