hotpoint dwf 50 with flashing eco light.

I have a Hotpoint DWF50P which is 13 months old…..typically out of warranty! When i switch the machine on it is ok and i can select the Normal program and the machine will begin to whirr to pump the water out. After about 10 or 20 seconds the Main light will go out and then the Eco light ( 3rd one along ) will begin to flash. Also the pump continues whirring and i cannot reset it unless i switch the machine off for a minute and then back on. Does anyone have any ideas?

That doesn’t seem to match any error codes i know of 😕

Does the light flah in any sort of sequence or continuously ?

Also, is it draining all the water away when the pump runs ?

Think you will find water as filled the base from somwhere causing float sw in base to reset hope this helps.

I took base off and it was full of water. Machine works okay now but i am abit worried where the water has come from.

It may be a “one off” brian, but if it happens again, engineer time.

Check repairs@ and the directories 😉
