    Hi all,
just wondering if anyone has come across this before. Went to a Hotpoint DWF30 D/W today (Bosch style). Problem was water leaking into base and tripping anti-flood. After cleaning it out and running it, I found the water was coming from 3 seperate corroded pin holes, one in the door inner skin just under the dispenser, and two in the bottom towards the front. Now the machine was only two years old! Anyone got any theories on why this should happen on a machine so young? Could the customer be doing something wrong or is it just a case of a manufacturing defect?

    Thoughts please………. ❓

Have had the same thing, but not for a number of years, I think the quality of the steel varies as last time we had several with similar datecodes. Maybe we are in for some more.
We had 2 that were was used in a schools chemistry lab and we put it down to that although they swore they only washed pre rinsed test tubes in it but it didnt smell quite right.
Being messy with the salt could also be the start of it if the stainless is crap. Remember the Hotpoint versions that were made in the UK although looking like bosch were not of the same material quality as you can usually tell when taking the door panel off.
