1]No panel illumination when selecting progamme.
stripped down, test output from ON/OFF switch, voltage across all 6 terminals seem OK but have doubts about one pair of teminals. Bridge across to make perminant…still no illumination.

any ideas most welcome
its is fair to say that the materials used on this machine are cheap looking.

its is fair to say that the materials used on this machine are cheap looking.Could be a lot worse Graham, at least its a Bosch design. You have obviously not yet worked on a DWF50. ❗
Need to check you are getting 240v to the module, is so its a duff one. There is a version 1 and a version 2 of this one.
PS whatever you do dont ask Martin about it!

the mod is fed direct from the on/off switch, as no lights are showing on programme selection, can we say mod is dud
if so is it cheaper to get hotpoint under 5yr warrenty or for me to supply and fit.
idea of mod cost would help
many thanks

Yep, I agree Mark, more often than not, Bosch are cheaper.
It used to be easy to cross-ref the part numbers, remove the “7” from Hotpoint and it became a bosch part number…
Anyone have any idea with the newer product part numbers ?

guys many thanks for your input.
Looks to me as the appliance is less than 3 years old. a call to peterborough is needed it would be more cost effective to my client.
