Although it is not a luxury we often enjoy an extra pair of hands would be a big help, especially when trying to remove and even more so, refit the inner tub. 😉

SO!!!! HERE ARE THE RESULTS!!!!! 😯
I recieved the parcel from Indicit which looked as though it had just done 10 rounds with Tyson!!! It was SO bad that I took pictures before I opened it, the end of the heating element was actually stuck out the side of the box!!!! Shocking service!!!! So I opened the box and the ceramic around the element had chipped and cracked, but it belled out ok on a meter. So…I rang them up and explained…you know what’s coming next…’send it back and we’ll send you another on’ – brilliant!!! That is a great help!!! Especially when I have a Wife and Baby who need this DW to work like NOW!! 🙂
So I though fine, i’ll get the DW in the garage at least and strip it down. Now I understand EXACTLY why you can’t go into details regarding the step by step!!! LOL!!! i get the broken heater out and then find that the ‘body’ of the heater box is a different molding – none of the fixing points line up!!!!
By this point you can imaging my frustration!!! I ring them up again and they insist that the unit is correct, so I then decided to think stuff them, so I removed the element from the new unit they sent and fitted it to my existing heater molding, put the thing back together and HEY!!! IT ONLY WORKS!!!!!!!!!!!!! CHEER!!!!!!!!!! 🙂
The only thing i’ll say is take LOADS of pictures AT EVERY stage of the strip down!!! LOL!!! What a job 🙂
Great feeling when all worked out though!!!!
I couldn’t have done it without the help of this forum – namely iadom thanks mate!!! And I hope you win on the lottery this coming Friday!!!!
