    Does that mean it is incorrect?

    From what you said earlier I can only assume yes.

    When I hold in buttons 1 & 3 nothing happens to light 2 , however light 1 stays on until I release both buttons. Then lights 1 & 3 flash.

    TBH, I have never, ever used the test sequence on one of these, even forgot there was one until you mentioned it. 😯

    A check on the water flow from the spray arms and a megger or multimeter across the heater would be my next step. 😉

    Finally found the problem. I removed the control panel to expose the circuit boards and having removed them one of the relays had blown a massive hole in the board and one leg of the device had completely melted. Decided due to cost of replacement board and no guarantee that it wouldn’t do it again to buy a new dishwasher.

    Just like to thank you for all your assistance, it was greatly appreciated.
