    Hi all

I have the above machine now for a few years with only the dispenser door broken (just put the tablets in the basket for the last year and okay )

So tonight found no indicators on the front panel and a couple of inches of water lying in the bottom of the machine ( son can’t remember if anything was on the display when he took the dishes out earlier today ), stripped it down and one half of the pcb is burned and melted next to the middle black module.

So do i try and get part myself ( and don’t know what caused the fault0 or try the hotpoint fixed price repair option with a 90 day warranty for all and any extra faults or what do you sugest?

    THanks

its a bosch made d/w. any parts you try and source will be stupidly priced, unless you can source it direct from bosch. in which case you will need the code that is stamped just below the DWF31 in small letters on the door edge…

pretty certain hp wont cover the parts for the 106 quid either, as it must be over 5 years old now?!

and dwf31s seem to be dropping like flies, been to 2 this month already. both with popped pcbs

50/50 chance emw will be able to repair it, if its linked to a heating fault.

*edit* just checked on my system and is showing as obsolete as a hp part so id see if emw can get it fixed.

Okay looks like a new one then, looking for a recommendation for the low £300 mark, was looking at the Bosch AvantiXX SGS45A02GB or Smeg Cucina DI612CA9 any help?
