    Hello!

I have the above mentioned dishwasher and the doorcatch appears to be faulty, the handle does not operate the catch at all and it does not lock into place over the latch on the main body of the machine. Thankfully the machine was open when this fault occured so I could get to my crockery 😉 I am hoping this is a simple latch / spring problem that is easy to fix myself. At worst that I will need a new new latch mechanism, but I cannot find one anywhere on the net.

    HELP!!!!

Any suggestions, tips or the like would be very helpful, I really hope this does not mean a new control panel as I doubt I will be able to afford a new control panel and a new dishwasher is out of the question!

    Many Thanks

A new Door Latch Assembly (Part No 1801384) is available via emailing these details to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk

I suspect the unit has just dislodged (if the handle looks a little lop-sided that’s the clue) and carefully repositioning will cure. Very often door handles are used and abused and they are only plastic after all!

Thanks for that, looks like there was an incorrect loading problem, but only dicovered this afetr taking the door off and now have two plastic hinge looking pieces that have popped out of the bottom of the door and I need to put these back 😳

Thanks for your help and I will certainly keep the site in mind next time I have any problem!
