Hotpoint DWF40 dishwasher lights flashing

Going to a Hotpoint DWF40P dishwasher tommorow with flashing lights on control panel. Both wash and dry lights flash, machine fills then empties straight away.
Having not encountered this problem before I was thinking apon lines of heating element??

According to the manual, 2+4 lights is heater related, heaters on these are prone to failure, you will more than likely need to replace the clips holding the heater in place if it does need replacing.

Thanks for that, yes did turn out to be the heater. Customers husband had disconnected the heater as it was shorting out. Found the plug already pulled out and asked the customer ‘has somebody already looked at this?’ To which she replied ‘no i dont think so’.
