    Hi Folks

Been to this one today – blew fuse – cust replaced and blew three times :rolls: before m/c started and heater error code on.. checked out – earth fult and open circuit on heater.. checked board not signs of anything blown there..

Not changed heater on one of these before so..

    1) Is this straight forward or are there any pointers anyone can give..

    2) Is there anything else likely to have blown other than board or am I safe in assuming all that most likely all thats required on this is the heater unit as the board looks ok…

    Any help appreciated.. thanks

Very straight forward, easy access having removed the R/H panel and lid.

This may be a worry….? 😕 You refer to it blowing a fuse “three times” now if by that you mean just the RCD tripped 3 times, that’s OK, but if you’re talking about 13amp cartridge fuses blowing, chances are that the board will be stuffed as well…? 😯

    Mick,

fitted two just last week, tip machine on it’s back remove clips from each side of heater.I replaced the clips that came off, with whirlpool jubilee clips, much easier.

    Thanks for advice guys..

Was concerned about board as 3 x 13amp fuses replaced but board did look ok and not signs of anything blown.. did explain it was a posibility but thought bit difficult to test as m/c would only fill so far before pumping out so could not test for supply at heater to prove board ok..

    Unless anyone else knows different??

Thanks for advice about fitting… have you a part no for the w/pool clips?

    Thanks

Genuine Hotpoint Jubilee Clip for the job is part number:- HPT9900250

Part number on heater in my van that i use is C00057684.
You need 2 clips , but I keep a few of these as this heater job comes up often.
I’ve found ordinary Jubilee clips are too thick & hose slips off unless these special jubilee clips are used.
