Tried all the usuals and Hotpoint were about as much use as a chocolate teapot!

Anybody have any ideas as to what this is? Google is no help at all either.

Oh, and it will intermitently give AL01 which I understand to be a flooded base. Done the usual trick of tilting on sides but no water has escaped as yet.

    Please please please someone?

AL01 is a flooded base type problem and AL09 is a software/electronic circuit board problem!

You haven’t been washing chocolate teapots in your machine have you? 😉

I am sure that when I have had this error code it has been that the machine has been pushed too far back and the water cable has been kinked not allowing the water to leave the machine. Check that your hose is not bent or trapped by anything and that it has a clear way to travel.

Do you know how I get rid of the DEMO from the screen, I know it is something simple like pressing two buttons in together for a certain length of time but I can’t remember which buttons.
