Hotpoint DWF70S will not exit Demo.

Hotpoint DWF70S dishwasher. 372979600000. 2571378.

I have tried and tried to get this machine out of demo mode. I know how to switch off demo but this machine refuses to play. It successfully resets, you can select a new program but when the start button is pressed it returns to demo on the screen. Not that it attempts to start any demo….. 👿

I think the PCB is goosed; but there is the 100BIT PCB and the display unit. Which one is faulty? Or am I missing something bleedin’ obvious?

Read on this forum 2 replies for this problem.

one said press reset for the 3 beeps then do the same for the on/off switch

the other one said press both on/off and start for 5 seconds.

I tried both without success.
I tried various combinations of holding start cancel button and on off until eventually display went to dOff. SORTED.

I think it was press and hold start cancel untill you get th 3 beeps, then press the same button as if you were resetting it again and hey presto.

Had one of these the same , would only reset with the door open , worth a try 🙂
