When using this dishwasher, the tablet compartment doesn’t seem to open fully or enough to allow the tablet out and the dishes are then only 1/2 cleaned. When I open the door, the lid is open a little but looks to be blocked by the top rack – is this normal operation?!
The manual talks about powder and not tablets – should I just switch?
Seems silly that the compartment won’t open enough to let a tablet out.
Any help appreciated.

Some of these dispensers are designed not to open fully so that they hold the tablet there enough for the jet on the top spray arm to dissolve it, so i would check for any food debris in the holes on the spray arms if theres any blocked then that will be your problem.

The Indesit Company recommend the upper basket be only used in the high position, if no improvement, replace the top rotor. P/no C00075746, spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk will get you one promptly.
