Hi, I’m hoping you experts can give me some pointers for my mother-in-law’s oven, as above.

There’s plenty of heat from the element but the thermostat (I presume) seems to be way off, 150*C stabalises at 60*C, 220*C at about 150*C.

So likely to be a question of changing the thermostat?

EDIT – to add, fan is running fine. Measurements taken with IR thermometer. As it’s quite old I’d probably pop a new element in too while it’s apart if a new thermostat is the concencious!

Also it needs a new main oven door handle. Can’t find too much info about this model so any pointers would be very gratefully received!

    Cheers!

you dont say a colour but the white handle should be
    part no C00227259

check the thermostat prob in the oven is still clipped into place. if they come loose and get too close to the element it causes the same symptoms

Thanks very much indeed. Yes it’s white – I’ll check the probe as suggested.
