Hotpoint EW 41 cooker

The top oven and grill are controlled by the same switch. I went to replace the switch on one today and the old one had fallen apart so i wasn’t sure exactly where the wires go. I think i sorted it but just to confirm would it be correct to say when you first turn it clockwise it operates the top oven and if you keep turning it until it clicks the oven goes off and then it’s the grill? :clown:

I downloaded a copy of that manual for a customer last month, just had a look though it and it says that the top oven and grill are controlled by the grill door micro switch. As if grill door open grill works. Off closed the top oven works.
