    Hi All,

The oven was being used earlier when our electricity tripped out. When reset the fan came back on but the oven doesn’t get hot.

I presume from reading other posts on here that the element has failed. The thermostat light is on continuously so I am guessing it’s not that.

If you could confirm my diagnosis or offer any other info it would be greatly appreciated. Then I can order the required part and get on with fixing it 🙂

    Thanks in advance,

    Chris.

Re: Hotpoint EW72 Main Oven Problem

Thermostat light will not extinguish until oven temperature is reached and the thermostat starts “cycling”. Therefore, fan oven element failure is a reasonable bet.

P/no 6224745, an email to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk for prices and ordering.

    Power off if investigating.

    Regards,
    Penguin45.
