Hotpoint EW82 oven not hot enough

I fitted a top oven stat to this machine a few weeks ago.

Oven is a date code 16, fitted C00227450 stat, it wasn’t coming on at all before.

Now she says that it is 50° or 60° below the selected temperature. She has purchased an oven thermometer to check it out. :rolls:

Anyone had any problems with these stats being way out of range?

all stats are pretty much out of range IME. especially when up against those oven stats they put in their oven.
IF it has 2 slots in the collar around the knob shaft then it can be adjusted with long nose pliers by turning the collar. Very hit and mis though. Need to plot the temperature every 2 minutes with a digital thermometer over, say, 30 minutes after pre heating and average it out. will probably come to within 20-30 degrees which is about as good as it gets.

I did have a similar problem with a BSH stat a couple of years ago. I will try and jack it up a little.
