From a quick browse of your forums it sounds like the regulator How easy is this to replace? – Do I need to take off the ceramic hob to get access? (Sides come off to gain access to the top screws I think.) Is there anything else it might be? Is it worth testing the regulator or just ordering a new one? Thanks Ed February 15, 2011 at 12:05 am #344672 iadomModerator Re: Hotpoint EW85 – Halogen Ring Fault It does sound like a faulty regulator and as the cost of one is roughly a tenth of the cost of the ring itself it would be the first thing to try. Access is not easy, hob has to be released, all knobs pulled off etc. Be sure to isolate from the mains if you are gonig to attempt this. Part number is a C00199654. I will turn off the mains at the consumer unit – don’t want to take any chances with electricity. Author Posts Viewing 3 posts - 1 through 3 (of 3 total) You must be logged in to reply to this topic.
