I fitted a 6204035 twin grill regulator to this machine last week. Original fault was that one half of the grill would not switch off.

There was no info leaflet with the gen regulator to suggest any differences and I was able to swap terminal for terminal. The grill worked fine and switched on/off perfectly. However customer now complains that the fan does not come on when she selects the grill. I did not try it beforehand so am unsure if the fan comes on with the grill, it does work when the top oven is switched on.

My own Hotpoint twin grill does switch the fan on but that is a built in one and to be honest the fan coming on when grilling is a real PITA. You need to check on whatever is under the grill at regular intervals and as mine is at eye level, you get a blast of hot air/smoke/fumes whenever you look into the grill.

Has the regulator been altered in some way to stop the fan coming on when the grill is activated or is there a connection change I should have made.

A long shot but I don’t suppose anyone has a wiring diagram for one of these?

    Jim.

Some of those Hotpoint/creda dual regs have a tech paper telling you to link S1 & P1. not sure if this apply’s in this instance though.

There was no tech info in the bag, which is unusual if it is required. I think I have an old copy somewhere, will see if I can dig it out.

    Thanks Mark.

    Jim.

EDIT. found the sheet, the reference to linking P1 & S is for appliances fitted with pilot light on single controls, no mention on dual control list. 😕
