Hotpoint HS93X cooker hood. 39262 Serial no:- 607030041.

The PCB had been blown by a lamp failure. No power to the lamp holders and the fan only operated on one speed. OK, I thought, new board should sort both problems!!

Not so….lights work now but still no speed control. 😕 Does the PCB control the speed of the motor or is it done by another component? Short of dropping the fan motor assembly, I can’t see anything else that could be the speed control.

Any ideas or a wiring diagram would be much appreciated. If another component is involved, has anyone got the part number?

    Thanks,

    Steve.

Thanks, Jim – looking at that info I can’t see anything else apart from the PCB or a problem with the windings in the motor that could cause that fault. Two PCB’s giving the same fault? Not really likely as the new one cured the lamp fault but not the speed control problem. Hmmm. 🙁

Thanks again Jim, that info was very useful!!

    Cheers,

    Steve.
