Hotpoint F/L/A (WMF560) – F06 error

Hotpoint automatic washing machhine
Model – WMF560

Customer complains of F06 error code towards the end of the programme. Fault is intermitten.

I could not find any info on F06 other thatn what EMW had sent me saying F06 in N/A!!!

Seen this before anyone? Many thanks.

In the manual it also states F06 as N/A in the quick reference list but in the expanded list it has this for F06.

Door lock fails to close / open, doorlock PTC triac open/ closed, mains frequency signal fault, mains power signal fault.

– Check for water leaks that may affect connectors J004 or J11
(three-phase) causing the relative contacts to short;
– Check Door lock terminal board (any problems due to
aggression caused by manufacturing chemical residues that may
cause short circuits);
– Check J004 / door lock wiring;
– Check door lock;
– Renew PCB.

Many thanks for the info here – I have added it to my error code list 🙂
As it turns out the customer only ever had the fault once and it resolved itself without me even visiting.
