Could someone tell me what it means when a Hotpoint WMXTF 842P UK.M flashes F05 now and again and the machine still has water in. I’ve Had a look on youtube and people says it’s the pressure switch or the pipe from the pressure switch but how do I find where the pipe connects. I’ve also seen it could be the filter at the front of the machine or the black pipe from the drum blocked.
correct all 05 fault codes are problems with the pressure switch apart from one which is to do with the over flow detector only fitted to some machines
try removing the pipe from the switch and blowing down it to make sure its clear
You don’t mention wether or not you have tried to remove the pump filter at the front. The first place to check for blockage or obstruction. Don’t tilt the machine back when you do this, just have plenty of towels handy.

I’ve removed the pump filter and only water comes out but once the water is removed the machine works again. Why shouldn’t you tilt the machine back.
because some of the machines need the pressure system resetting if you tilt it and empty the water.
not had the problem myself but some engineers have had problems where the machine thinks it still has water in when its empty leading to fault codes
