WT 761 , not old, was wondering if Fo8 always means new board to cure heater relay probs or does open circ heater ( did attend it 3 months ago for tons of coins removal ) or other heat circ probs give 08 fault too?

    Thanks, Eddie.

its nearly always the heater relay

youll have fun identifying the right board and SMARTCARD for that
unless you use emw of course

It is easy enough to check Hotpoint heater continuity now they are on the back. You could also check/change the relay, especially if you hang on to one or two scrap modules.

Cheers chaps, hav’nt been to inspect machine yet as its in beyond the back of beyond :rolls: Emw would be the route i would take if they wanna pony up £100 😯 Or should i be steering ’em towards Hotpoints kind £99 deal.. Hmm.. decisions..

Phidom, is the heater relay easily spotted cos i do have a couple of Merloni boards. ❓

well, i attended this today & found what i thought i might.. heater peppered with coin dings & seriously down to earth. No call back as yet so fingers x. So i guess F08 can be more than the panel relay not switching, which answers my own question 😉
