Hotpoint FDF 780 dishwasher (dish waster)!

Hi all

Got this machine that customer says stopped after cycle and showed error code A8 (faulty heater)
Have checked heater and that tests ok

Have run machine on full cycle, it drain,fills, then just stops dead and continues counting down

Have taken out wash motor and tested coil. And thermal cutout

Coil gives a reading of 30k ohms
And cutout tests ok
I also have full voltage at terminals

But still machine won’t progress any further with the cycle..

Any ideas appreciated..

30K Ohms?!…. or should that be 30 Ohms as it sounds rather high if it is 30,000 Ohms and would say to me that that is the fault right there and if that is the insulation reading then it is too low – either way that doesn’t sound right.

Yes that seems to be the problem, it’s coil is getting the correct voltage.. But it’s struggling to turn the impeller, although it is fairly free to turn by hand?
