Had this since 2013. Three years ago had A-8 code, heating time-out, which I solved then by removing the DEA206 control board and repairing a dry joint and burntout track to the heater relay. All was good till recently A-8 appeared again. On inspection I discovered the heater element O/C so set about finding the part. Every parts company seemed to show a different part number and several could not guarantee it would fit. I finally opted for Whirlpool Appliance UK C00257904 at £71.24. The old part contained 10mm thick limescale sludge that I cleaned out of the motor side. The new part had an extra hose attached which I removed.
Initially, everything worked and water was heating and motor running till the end of the cycle A-3 came up, drain pump timeout. After syphoning the water out several times I removed the drain pump. It appeared to be sound at 305 Ohms so I removed the PCB again and ordered the Z0107NA Triac that drives the pump £2.99 for 5. I also tested the pump on the mains and it ran ok. After replacing the Triac I reassembled and tested the dishwasher. Success we have a working unit. This is a brilliant forum, but only found 1 reference to FDFF1110, either very rare or very reliable. Hope this helps someone, don’t give up.
