Hotpoint FDL570 Dishwasher wont turn off

My Hotpoint FDL570 Dishwasher has developed a fault over the weekend.

Firstly wife pointed out the top section wasn’t washing properly. so cleaned the spinner but nothing found. cleaned bottom as well. Did another wash and then she pointed out it wasn’t draining.

Cleaned filters. checked sump just in case it was blocked, and all of a sudden it drained with the door open.

Then it started pumping in water still with the door open.

Pressed on/off switch and after a few seconds it would start again.

Closed door and still powers up with lights flashing.

Only checks so far Ive done is blow back on waste pipe to ensure not blockages and checked sink trap.

Any ideas before I start dismantling ?

Salt/rinse aid and wash light flashing

Have turned off at plug in the hope it reset as well

1 last thing – I tilted it back and water leaked out from underneath

Any help appreciated

if water leaks into the base it operated the flood defense. this makes the pump run non stop and the machine wont start

you may have a leak or it just may have had a bad day. drain base and run to see if fault re-occurs. if you can see into the works while its running look for leaks with a torch
