I had the day all mapped out when my wife summoned me. The dishwasher is not working – Calamity, drop everything.

She presses the on/off button as usual and the light comes on. Then presses Start/Pause but it does not start – the green pause light is flashing. Presses start/pause again and on light goes out.

This happens every time. I am off to have a look for anything obvious but I look forward to any comments/suggestions from members.

    Thank you
    Jim

Heater Open circuit or NTC thermistor detached from
    casing.

The heaters, main circulation pumps and electronics are all known weak points on the Indesit appliances. 😥

    Thanks for your reply.

I think it might be the door switch as it has worked on and off for a bit. Where is the NTC thermistor?

Unlikely to be door switch but anything is possible on these.

The NTC is hard wired to the main pcb in the base. Heater failure very common problem on Indesit dishwashers. 😥
