Hi, New to the forum but hoping someone here can help!

I have a Hotpoint FDL570 dishwasher which has stopped working. Came home yesterday to find the salt, rinse aid, and start/pause light flashing. Switched the dishwasher off and it drained.

Now if I try to set it away running a program, I can hear it fill with some water and then a grumbling sound begins. If I open the door the base of the machine is filled with hot water. It will continue like this for some time until the salt, rinse aid and start/pause lights start flashing again.

if anyone has any idea what the cause is and the rough cost of repair it would be much appreciated, just trying to work out if its worth the cost of repair or if there is an easy fix I can do myself.

    Many thanks

No easy fix, well apart from throwing down the tip that is.;)

Sounds like main circulation pump/motor has failed, very common fault on this Indesit made dishwasher. It’s under the five year parts warranty but the labour charge and the rest of the hard sell you will get may may you think twice before contacting the Indesit Company.
