    Hi, My Hotpoint Aquarius FDW20 is just over 2 years old. Turned it on as usual yesterday and the prewash light is flashing and the machine won’t fill. Taps are on and everything looks normal inside. Any ideas?

    As I suspected, possible flooded base. A quick search of the forums should give louise all the information she needs. Tip it, mop up, try it again. If fault returns call an engineer to check for possible leak.

    PS. Stop using 3 in 1 or 4 in 1 tablets and use Fairy Actvie bursts or separate, detergent, rinse aid and salt if required.
