Fairly straightforward, access from underneath. Only problems are the hose clips, difficult to get the old ones back on. Thin jubilee clips make the job easy, don’t risk plastic cable ties under any circumstances.

As a novice to dishwashers can I just ask, is it never a good idea to use cable ties on the hoses or just not on this particular job ?

Never on an installation like this where it’s directly connected to an electrical component. Cable ties could be used for clamping some dispenser inlet or sump hoses, but better still confined only for tying cables together!
