Hotpoint FDW60 lower spray arm mot turning

My Hotpoint FDW60 dishwasher, the lower spray arm is not rotating.
i have tried a new spray arm, i have poured water back down the spray arm outlet and water comes up through the filter, so its clear, the upper spray arm goes fine.
when i do the long wash with pre wash later on in the wash or rinse part i get the eco and pre lights flashing, which would indicate a filter issue or an issue in that area bit until that point its fine. the fileter is clear and the sump is empty.
any ideas please.

Could be a faulty half load solenoid, if it was stuck in half load mode then water is supplied to top arm only.

Brilliant, i didn’t think of that makes sense, i just never use half load so forgot it had it. the solenoid was ok, it was the flap. the holes it pivots on were that worn that it allowed the flap past its locking tab, so every time it pumped the flap closed.
