Hotpoint Dishwasher FDW70G customer reports it hanging on 46 mins to go and then aborting showing AL10 (no heat I thought but he rang Hotpoint and was told it was a leak related error), he said quick wash was fine but when I tried it it hung on 19 mins and seemed to get far too hot. Anyway, no sign of a leak and heating fine. I have gone for the pcb in the base unless anyone knows better?

Welcome to the mad house these are a disaster of a machine, check the heater and wiring which will more than likely be burnt out doing the module in also, requiring a harness or cable ends, possibly a heater?, a module and eeprom? which you put in and have to remove after fitting or it wont work. jj

thanks for the vote of confidence, damn customer wants to go ahead as well! Wiring to heater is fine but I know it will end in tears and much money down the drain!

Can’t you put the customer off by saying you can’t programme the new board??
