    Hi all..

Can anyone advise me how to go abouts finding and sorting out the problem part for this fault code as I will be dammed in paying out £110 odd to hotpoint to come out and work on the machine.

Anyhow, its a 2 year old Hotpoint FDW70G Model from mother (she replaced stright away 6 months ago with the fault showing) rather me taking it to the tip I’ve rescued it and its been sitting in the kitchen for the last 6 months.

It fills up with water and just “before” it starts a wash, A10 fault flashs on the screen and you can hear water being dumped out of the system into the drain.

Some internet searches are showing it as a heater fault and others are saying fill valve fault?

What would it be please and the solution to get her working again 🙂

    Many Thanks

    LS 🙂

It’s a problem on the heater circuit but it doesn’t specify where. Could be an element or stats.

The element is a fairly common problem though and it’s available HERE

yes the heaters do go on the hotpoint, sometimes the toc cuts out after about 10-20 mins because of limescale build up, change the heater-you should clear the fault
