    when power is turned on washer goes straight into emptying mode, after a few mns error AL01 appears. checked base float switch and it is operating correctly. any ideas.

    Flood protection activated. If there’s no water down there, check switch function with multimeter. If it’s OK, it’s an erroneous code, which points to our old favourite, the Indesit pcb.

    Power off first if you intend to investigate this yourself.
