Hotpoint FDW80G – AL10 error code. (Heater element)

Moved from Dishwasher forum to Parts.

We have a Hotpoint FDW80G dishwasher that is giving an AL10 error code at what seems to be the end of the cycle.

I know that this indicates that there is a fault with the heater element, engineer has previously replaced one under warranty.

I have located 2 part numbers at different prices, can anybody advise which one I should use, or will either work ok.

Ordinarily it would be this heating element that you need.

Incorrect, it means there is a fault on the heater circuit, it could be the heater, pressure switch, wiring or the main control PCB.

Both the heater and the PCB are very weak on these Indesit machines and very prone to failure.

You should test the heater in your machine with a megger or suitable multi meter before ordering anything. 😉

c00057684 is the correct heater, the other one is for a slimline dishwasher and it is a lower wattage
