Hotpoint FF72 Freezer down to -1

Hi All,

I’ve read about the mistral problems, but all seem to be related to fridge cooling problems. My problem is with my freezer. here are the symptoms:

Fridge Cooling OK, and display showing +4
Freezer only cooling to -1 on display and freezer symbol flashing
Evaporater fan running
Door Seals OK
Compressor and fan Running

I get ice build up on the evaporater fan after 2 weeks. The top
section of the freezer has ‘snow’ like ice on all the peas, etc…

I’ve defrosted the freezer, vacumed the fin at the bottom of the
freezer removing any fluff build up on the fin, but I’m still having the same
problem.

Any advice?

What is the actual temp in the freezer by a seperate thermometer?

Hi Simon,

I checked the temp of the freezer with my room thermometer, it’s showing -22 Degrees Celcius. The Display is now showing +24 for the freezer !!!!!
