hotpoint FF72P fault code

please help
i have a error that keeps coming up as EA.
If i shut off the power then turn it back on the fault clears for a while then comes back,this can last minutes or hours before the fault comes back,does anyone know what this could be?

i cant say ive seen this unit but EA means no feed back from baffle which is what allows the cool airflow to fridge .so investigate this first but unplug first.

thanks for your reply it does sound like the airflow. as the temp in the freezer is staying at -22 but the fridge temp is rising when in error.
where is the baffle located and does the baffle normally need replacing or cleaning.

The baffle is in the housing which includes the fridge bulb at the top of the fridge.
Unplug first of course.
Worth checking the connectors on the wiring harness are OK.
They don’t normally need cleaning.

Just a thought do you have Fridge door plastered with fridge magnets, as this can cause funny faults on these, i had the very same fault many moons ago i tried a new baffle, module etc and the fault still showed, in desperation i phoned the boffins at techinical and was advised to remove the magnets, the fault then cleared never been back since. jj

I would like to say thanks to those that replyed to my problem. I removed the baffle and checked it over, and it seemed to be ok. So i put it back in, made sure the connection was ok, and turned the fridge back on. It has now been running for a week
without any problems. Possibly a bad connection
