    Hi all

    Can anyone tell me what fault code E8 means on the Hotpoint FF72P fridge freezer?

    E8 is a short circuit in evaporator thermistor which helps control defrost,part no 2901683 shouldn’t be very expensive and is a simple plug in and clip on device after removing inside back panel of freezer.
    Don’t forget to SWITCH OFF FIRST.
