Hotpoint FF72S not cold enough

Hi can anyone help have got a Hotpoint FF72S S/N 78186331.Freezer temp fluctuating from -11 to -17.Fridge not cold at all. Condenser was blocked so cleaned still no improvement. Carried out self diagnostic check which it did but no fault detected. Hate these fridges always trouble if anyone can help will be much appreciated.

Take everything out of the fridge freezer and get someone to look after it for you.

Then turn it off and try a 48 hour defrost and leave the doors open.

When you turn it back on it should work ok after 2 to 4 hours.

If the problem returns in a few weeks the defrost heater is most likely faulty.

Thanks for the reply Bob but have looked behind back panel in freezer and its not iced up.Is it this model where it has to get to -15 before the evap. fan starts as the fan runs when in test mode but not when running normally and no faults present after carrying out test mode.

Change the evaporator thermistor usualy cures it other than that might be fan motor even though it runs in test mode, they sometimes are faulty.
