Been to look at a Hotpoint F/Freezer FFA60P, frost free type, found the drain gutter from fridge to be blocked, tried the usual pushing a ty-wrap through it & pressure switch hose, up from behind, no joy seems to be frozen solid 6-7 inches down from fridge. Tried pouring hot water down & waited but alas no joy, as it was quitting time i told her i would return today & i will get de-icer & try. Anyone know if this is likely to be a problem with defrost heater in freezer, is there a gutter heater to assist defrosting?

Been to one of these today with a similar fault, in the fridge section there is a build up of ice 2-3 inches to the left of the gutter drain hole (drain is clear 😕 ) and customer is comlaining that food is freezing in the crisper boxs, she says that this has been ongoing virtualy from when she bought it. 😕

Before I read this thread my first thoughts was that some of the internal pipes may be to close to the liner and/or poor insulation in that area, obviously there is no way to investigate this. 😥

My question is would the previous comments about the problem fan area etc. give the problem that I am describing?
